From Quillette:
Black Lives Matter and the Mechanics of Conformity

My modest proposal probably acceptable to all sides:
1. Pension off all white police officers with a full pension no matter how long they have served.
2. Replace them with black police officers, properly trained in the usual fashion.

Perhaps a little less acceptable:
3. Stand back and watch what happens as black officers feel no racial compunction about use of deadly force.

Those already familiar with "colour revolutions" can skip this one. You have already noticed that events in the USA have similar parallels to Ukraine, Serbia, Hong Kong, etc. etc. and more recently Belarius.

Revolver Exclusive — Meet Norm Eisen: Legal Hatchet Man and Central Operative in the “Color Revolution” Against President Trump
There is no purer embodiment of Revolver’s thesis that the very same regime change professionals who run Color Revolutions on behalf of the US Government in order to undermine or overthrow alleged “authoritarian” governments overseas, are running the very same playbook to overturn Trump’s 2016 victory and to pre-empt a repeat in 2020. To put it simply, what you see is not just the same Color Revolution playbook run against Trump, but the same people using it against Trump who have employed it in a professional capacity against targets overseas—same people same playbook.
Anywho, if you want to read it (and you should even if you take the terms of art at face value), a free copy is here :
"The Democracy Playbook: Preventing and Reversing Democratic Backsliding

(no need to wonder why the likes of Egypt banned NGOs is there?)

Anyway, it is clear to me that you folks in the USA are in for some very interesting times going forward (so is Canukistan BTW but that is a topic for another day) .

Not like accidental leaks of pathogens never happens in China:

Several thousand people in northwest China have tested positive for a bacterial disease, authorities said on Tuesday, in an outbreak caused by a leak at a biopharmaceutical company last year.

I was looking for stories by Manly Wade Wellman on youtube. Why I'm not completely sure.

...however I found that someone had posted an entire audiobook of short stories - of which his was one and this was another.

Some say it was the basis for the movie 'Avatar'.

On Sept. 23, 1957, President Dwight Eisenhower signed an executive order sending troops from the Army's 101st Airborne Division to maintain order and peace during the integration of Central High School by nine black students in Little Rock, Arkansas, after Arkansas Gov. Orval Faubus called in the state National Guard to bar black students from the school.

Little Rock, Princeton... and now Columbia University in New Yawrk City, the alma mater of Barack Hussain Obama (CC'83)

NY Times:
Columbia Marching Band Shuts Itself Down Over ‘Offensive Behavior’
The band admitted to “sexual misconduct, assault, theft, racism and injury to individuals and the Columbia community as a whole.”

In announcing its decision to disband, Columbia University’s marching band said it has had “a history riddled with offensive behavior.”

By Corey Kilgannon
Sept. 15, 2020

The Columbia University Marching Band, which dated to 1904, had developed a wide reputation over the years for its irreverent, quirky performances at Lions football and basketball games.
It had served as the irrepressible court jester to the university’s staid administration, and, at times, had offended students and the wider campus community with its jokes.
The band had an antagonistic relationship with the administration, which banned it from football games last year and tried to stamp out its mischievous tradition of bursting into a campus library each semester to entertain stressed-out students on the eve of finals.
But the latest news from the band was more startling. Its board announced on Monday that after 116 years of performing it was disbanding, citing “a history riddled with offensive behavior.”
The behavior did not pertain to its ongoing lampooning of university policies and officials but more serious self-levied charges — posted in a statement on the band’s Facebook page — that the band had long been rife with “sexual misconduct, assault, theft, racism and injury to individuals and the Columbia community as a whole.”

Creating each piece of work is a four-step process: media (aka blood/men-strual fluid) collection, design layout (aka pouring), photoshoot, and finally photo selection. The images of menstrual fluid are obtained in two different manners. During the early stages, we captured images by mounting a cam-era on a tripod and strategically angling it over the toilet bowl, so Rob, my husband, artistic collaborator and project photographer, could snap photos as soon as I poured the freshly collected menstrual fluid from my cup.

Empowered Bleeders and Cranky Menstruators:
Menstrual Positivity

New Menstrual Product Advertisements
...
Menstrual product advertisements (Mpads), since their early years, have been reliant on misogynist discourses around menstruation, portraying menstruation as shameful and unmentionable, vaginas themselves are the source of squalor and filth, and menstrual blood as requiring containment, concealment, and sanitization through euphemism and blue-liquid advertis-ing (Saz-Rubio and Pennock-Speck 2009; Kissling 2002; Thornton 2013). Grounded in representations of menstruating bodies on white, cisgenderist, ableist, fatphobic, and heteronormative terms, menstrual product advertising has a long history that spans from the early commercialization of menstrual products in the 1920s and across the mediums of print (since 1921), televi-sion (since 1970), and the internet. In recent years, in the context of increas-ing menstrual activism, fights for menstrual justice and access to menstrual products, and feminist efforts at shifting discourses around what it means to bleed, it seems that a “new” era of Mpads is surfacing—one more willing to both poke fun at histories of menstrual shame and to envision bleeding on empowering and glittery terms.Yet as we explore in this chapter

I do not buy the arguments commonly seen in this paper for example:
https://www.nature.com/articles/s41591-020-0820-9

If you have never heard of "gain of function research" you might believe the paper above (and there are lots of them). If you have never heard of Dr. Anthony Fauci and his involvement with the Wuhan lab via the NIH and NIAID funding you might also believe.

What I also do not buy is the claim that the release was deliberate. What is more likely (despite the bat pee incident) is that a worker sold lab bats in the market (this is china dood & what happens in the wet markets is horrific).

BTW here is the Yan paper:
Unusual Features of the SARS-CoV-2 Genome Suggesting Sophisticated Laboratory Modification Rather Than Natural Evolution and Delineation of Its Probable Synthetic Route
https://zenodo.org/record/4028830#.X2NHTmdKj6Z

An article (trigger warning) National Review :
Dr. Li-Meng Yan’s Claims Call for Skepticism but Not Dismissal
https://www.nationalreview.com/the-morn ... dismissal/
My first thought is that if you have bombshell evidence that the virus is manmade, don’t go on a television program and promise that you’ll be unveiling the evidence soon. Just unveil the evidence. My second thought was that if you were going to go on television to make one of the biggest and most consequential accusations in the history of the world, the sort of thing that completely upends the geopolitical economic order . . . is a midday women’s chat show heavy on celebrity news and gossip really the best venue? This is a bit like Daniel Ellsburg unveiling the Pentagon Papers on The View. But Dr. Yan did do an interview on Tucker Carlson’s program as well.
Yep! I can hear the comments right now. "WTF Dood! You just fucked over your own conspiracy theory!"

Yes. Your TechNews source contains a link to your Newsweek source which contains a link to your Politifact source. You aren't posting independent journalistic investigations, just a circlejerk of copycats re-writing each other's rewrites. I followed the link-trail back to the source:

Your Politifact source contains 2 links embedded behind the words "are" and "connected", in this quote:
"The research is backed by the Rule of Law Society and the Rule of Law Foundation. The sister nonprofit organizations are connected to Steve Bannon, a former chief strategist for the Trump administration, and Guo Wengui, a billionaire and political activist who fled China in 2014 in anticipation of corruption charges from the Communist Party."
the link behind the word "are" links to the Daily Beast fact-check, which I cited above-- with Daily Beast giving attribution for the story to communist antifa gender-is-a-social-construct biology student Kevin Bird.

the link behind the word "connected" links to the South China Morning Post, a once-great independent newspaper when Hong Kong was free, acquired by Chinese Communist Party member Jack Ma in 2017-- now a propaganda tool of the CCP.

Congrats-- your sources are the Chinese Communists who executed scientists for telling the truth about Covid. Your villains are Bannon & Guo's foundation to expose Communist China for disappearing and murdering people who tell the truth.

Another fun irony of your recent posts-- is the contrast between your current insistence that multiple sources support your claims... vs. your endless baboon-shrieking about Dr. Rahm Immanuel-- or whatever her name was-- who claimed hydroxychloroquine + zinc was effective against The Sniffles.

Multiple -independent- sources made claims matching hers. But you pretended only the demon-sperm lady was making those claims.

It turns out you only object to Republican Demon Sperm, but you're fucking Richard Carrier when it comes to Commie Demon Sperm, ghost photography, a black hole outside Vegas, and teenage TikTok witches hexing the Moon.

So-- your bombshell factcheck exposé --is that Li-Meng Yang-- the whistleblower scientist claiming to have found evidence that the Woohoo-Coronabeer-1984 virus was manmade--

is associated with the Rule of Law Foundation, which-- dun dun dummmm!-- is a sock-puppet of Steve Bannon + a Chinese billionaire who hates the Chinese Communist Party.

Let's see...

Q: What's the evidence that Bannon and billionaire Guo are secretly behind the Rule of Law Foundation?

A: Bannon and Guo launched the Rule of Law Foundation in a high-profile publicity drive, raising $300 Million in donor support.

Q: Rule of Law has " have not previously published scientific or medical research" according to the Daily Beast's fact-check on this story, why are they involved?!!!

A: Rule of Law Foundation's mission statement:
Protect individuals speaking out against corruption and illegal activities in China.... Make the exposure of information continuous and sustainable.... Receive and expose information of corruption, brutality, false imprisonment, excessive sentencing, harassment and inhumanity pervasive in the political, legal, business and financial system of China.... Investigate and report results... and make the investigation results known to the public.... Save and assist individuals subject to political persecution or torture by Chinese authorities.
Rule of Law Foundation FAQ:
What help can I get from the Rule of Law Foundation, if I provide sensitive information, which may expose corruption and illegal activities in China?

The Rule of Law Foundation will provide assistance to all whistleblowers in the investigation of the case and the reporting of the findings to the relevant government entities.

The organization may also provide support in other ways, which may include, but are not limited to, the following:

- legal;

- forensic;

- accounting;

- personal and family members’ safety;

- cooperation with the relevant government entities;

- applications of political asylum;

- reimbursement of relevant expenses in relation to the whistleblowing; and

- applying to receive rewards from the government under the False Claims Act, the IRS Whistleblower Reward Program, the Securities Whistleblower Reward Program, and the Commodity Exchange Act Whistleblower Rewards.
Q: But why did Li-Meng Yan post her findings soley at Bannon's site, not a medical publication site?

A: To quote free_thoughtpolice "If you don't trust that source, there are various sources saying the same thing." Daily Beast reports: " It was posted on Monday on the website Zenodo, a publicly available repository of scientific and academic research to which anyone can upload their work."

Q: Where did the bombshell discovery originate-- that Rule of Law might somehow be connected to head-vampire Steve Bannon?

A: According to Daily Beast: "The Bannon connection was first spotted by Kevin Bird, a Ph.D. candidate at Michigan State University"

Q: Who is this brilliant Kevin Bird??:

19 March 2015, 8:29 am EDT By Jan Dizon Tech Times
The unknown and supernatural are always topics that spark a great debate between skeptics and hardcore believers but no one really wants to be in the center of such a hair-raising occurrence.

One woman from Blackpool, England has been living a life straight out of a movie plot from Paranormal Activity with mysterious movements and events happening in her home.

A 33-year old and mother of four, Donna Ayres originally from Burnley, Lancashire is being regularly visited by a spirit she believes to be her dead brother. The reunion would have been pleasant except these visits are more of hauntings.

UFO Sighting Over Hawaii Triggers investigation Of Possible Hidden Alien Base
3 November 2016, 8:08 am EDT By Livia Rusu Tech Times
There have been recent claims that aliens have a secret base on Earth, reported after seeing a supposedly "classic 1950s B Movie style flying saucer" hovering over a mountain in Waikane, Hawaii. Paranormal investigators are currently probing the image that was submitted as proof of the phenomenon, and the Mutual UFO Network is currently handling the case.

The image was taken by an anonymous photographer on Oct. 23, and then it was sent to the U.S.-based organization, which is also the largest worldwide when it comes to the investigation of paranormal phenomena, including UFOs and aliens possibly visiting the Earth.

Paranormal Researcher May Have Found Time Warp Outside Las Vegas

2 July 2018, 8:04 am EDT By Allan Adamson Tech Times

A paranormal researcher thinks he could be the first person to ever discover a time warp, claiming he found one on the outskirts of Las Vegas.

Time Observed To Slow Down For 20 Microseconds

Joshua Warren, who starred in Travel Channel's Paranormal Paparazzi, claims that he has been measuring the rate of time all over Southern Nevada, which include the areas between the City of Lights and Area 51.

Last week, he said that he found a spot in the desert just north of the city where he claims to have watched time slow down for 20 microseconds.

By using what is called a differential time rate meter, or DT meter, Warren said that he was able to record a measurement that showed time had been slowing down in that particular spot on June 18.

The DT meter, which was invented by Silicon Valley engineer Ron Heath, is connected to a 100-foot cable with a sensor that transmits signal. Warren said that this signal is supposed to travel at the same rate of time at any particular place.

This could only change if a black hole approached Earth, or a similar phenomenon occurred, which is not supposed to happen. Warren said that his observation should not occur as it defies the law of physics.

"That shouldn't happen unless there is some kind of unknown technology being tested nearby that would influence the environment, or if there are naturally places around planet earth that actually sort of flicker once in a while, that warp a little bit," Warren said.

It isn't clear what is behind the phenomenon. Warren said that he plans to continue conducting investigations around Nevada. He said that he hopes to identify what is behind the anomaly, which could be a gateway to another world, a byproduct of some technology, or something extraterrestrial.

Time Warp

Time warps are often a feature of science fiction, usually used in portrayals of rapid journeys in space, or through time that allows people and objects to time travel.

The concept of time travel has long fascinated the world's most brilliant minds. Albert Einstein and Carl Sagan sought the existence of wormholes that could serve as shortcuts in space that can facilitate travel through different time periods.

Stephen Hawking also conducted an experiment to see if time travel is possible. In 2009, he hosted a party for time travelers but nobody showed up.

Back to the Future-like scenarios remain a product of the imagination.

Are Ghosts Real? Here's What Science Has To Say About It

Ghosts. They're the content of almost every horror show and novel ever created, ranging from lost souls who did not know they were dead or did not know how to cross over to the next life. Or they could be vengeful spirits of those who have died a horrible death and wishes for justice.

According to a poll, more than 40% of American believe in ghosts.

Do You Believe in Ghosts?

There are tons of stories about them, with many saying they have seen or felt ghosts. But until now, the debate is still going on: are ghosts real?

In a poll by LiveScience, the result shows that 43% of Americans believe that ghosts exist.

Perhaps one of the "proofs" that ghosts exist in real life is the numerous photos of these spirits caught on camera.

In a BBC report, one example was a 12-year-old girl's photo taken from an iPhone. Based on the report, the image was captured in February 2015 at the Hampton Court Palace in London, showing a photo of the girl's cousin and a figure of a tall, grey, and cloaked lady that apparently was not present when the photo was taken.

Countless "Images" of the Dead

Before the image was taken, numerous images have been taken that were seemingly capturing the unseen, even before cameras were accessible to everyone.

For example, the infamous photo of Mary Todd Lincoln is apparently photobombed by the "ghost" of her husband, the former U.S. President Abraham Lincoln, which was taken by American amateur photographer William Mumler.

Mumler became quite famous for his knack of capturing ghostly apparitions.

Now, this was taken during the early days of camera technology in the 19th century. Nevertheless, you also have to remember that this was the time when photographers were experimenting with new effects and that soon enough, they knew it could be of profit.

Apparently, Mumler was using the double exposure technique, allowing him to "take photos" of his dead relatives and of old Abe.

Among the first ones to investigate these spirits in photos was an English priest and medium named William Stainton Moses.

"By 1875, he had examined over 600 alleged spirit photographs. His view was that there were probably no more than a dozen that might pass muster as something [supernatural]," Alan Murdie said, the chairman of Ghost Club, which is believed to be the first paranormal investigation and research group in the world that was founded in 1862.

'Pokemon GO' Legendary Boss Raid Guide: How to Defeat Cresselia (Counters & Weaknesses)

After Heatran, a new Pokemon is featured in the five-star Legendary Boss Raids on Pokemon GO until Friday, Sept. 18, at 1:00 p.m., but before you can add Cresselia to your Pokedex, you have to defeat it first and catch it, and here's how you can do that.

Cresselia is a Lunar Pokemon, and its moveset will most likely be psychic-type abilities, especially as the Pokemon itself is a pure Psychic-type monster.

Did TikTok's Witches Hex the Moon? WitchTok Community is Not Happy
20 July 2020, 7:00 am EDT By Nhx T. Tech Times
Despite the controversy that TikTok is facing, the online community for this social media platform is growing. Among them is the WitchTok community, short for Witches of TikTok, and yes, their videos focus on witchcraft, spells, worshipping various deities, and manifestations.

However, according to CNET, new or "baby" witches on the platform have banded together to try and hex the moon.

New WitchTok Members Have Apparently Hexed the Moon
Based on the report, the rest of the WitchTok community took to other social media platforms, mainly Twitter, to explain what has happened to those who aren't familiar with their ways and voice out their frustrations.

As it turns out, the bulk of the community isn't happy with the newbies.

Twitter user @heyyadoraa created a thread on Twitter to document what has happened and has made a note that baby witches are new and inexperienced in witchcraft and should only be "researching and doing protection work."

Pros

Reporters are given the opportunity to expand their portfolios and are encouraged to get quotes to add stories. I was successful in getting quotes from several major organizations in the technology and science worlds.

Cons

There are a lot of downsides working with Tech Times: 1) While it is based in New York City, management favors its overseas reporters and editors. 2) You have to write 5 "400 words or more" articles per day and 3 on the weekend. 3) Management will leave employees in dark. 4) No strong leadership.

wow. great song.

A decade ago, a couple times I picked-up some of Ditko's self-published (hand xeroxed & stapled) stuff at a comic shop near his office in midtown.

Full page rants in text, slightly-schizophrenic full-page editorial-cartoons, appearances by Mr. A. Not so different from Rorshach's Journal. I remember a long essay in response to a Marvel editor saying it was necessary to 'break the toys' in order to keep Marvel characters fresh year after year. Ditko read-into that an infantile/tyrant mentality, a collectivist's inability create/ only able to destroy the creations of mighty Randian creators, etc.

The Question - the guy you go to when Batman is not paranoid enough for you. I'm not sure that the characterisation is really true to the original intent of Ditko - but the animation is certainly given a shot of life (so to speak) by the vocal talents of Jeffrey Combs.

Of course there are some that view The Question as a prototype for Ditko's latter creation - Mr A. Who I've only really heard about in story fragments and songs.

Speaking of which - this one goes out to all the Objectivists and Libitarians in the audience:
