I think it would be cool to have a skeptic schism based chess board too. Here are some ideas:

FTB/Skepchick/A+:
Pawns: Mainly FTB commentariat stereotypes, judging from photos: overweight, neckbeards, horn rimmed glasses, etc...
King: PZ Myers
Queen: Rebecca Watson
Knight1: Greg Laden
Knight2: Lousy Canuck
Bishop1: Stef Svan
Bishop2: Ophelia Benson
Rook1: Nerd of Redhead (you got to have a robot like piece, just for fun)
Rook2: Karen Stollznow

Slymepit/Skeptics:
Pawns: A bunch of guys in fedoras and women in bikinis
King: Richard Dawkins
Queen: Abbie Smith
Knight1: Justin Vacula
Knight2: Thunderf00t
Bishop1: Ellen Beth Wachs

Rook1: Michael Shermer

I changed my mind about Rook1. It should be Mykeru instead! A cow-skull headed chess piece would be pretty cool too.

Hmmm, in keeping with chess piece appearances, perhaps the Rooks should be structures instead:

Mykeru and Nerd of Redhead should still be among the pieces: either bishops or knights.

FTB/Skepchick would have to be all pawns - can't have any privileged pieces, you know.

You've got it ALL wrong. They've clearly got a power structure over there.
Being blind to privilege is a privilege only men can have, .'. only the MALES can be pawns.

FTB should be black, but they'll reverse the knights for that exact reason. It'll keep chess interesting.
