Am I the only one disappointed with the drift into nitpicking and knowingly uncharitable interpretations of PZ and Co? IMO opinion the Pit is sidelining itself into a circus act which can easily be dismissed because of the fabricated smears, and disingenuous smears are essentially fabrications in my book. I love Christmas time. I used to hate it because I got tied down by all the stuff you "had" to do, and I got tired of all those manger scenes in front of the churches. I have mellowed with age and now I do just the holiday stuff I like to do. Now I think the mangers are funny... especially when they get covered in snow.... like statues to a dying bureaucracy.

I work in the auto industry so we usually have a shut-down period between Xmas and New Years.... it is fan-fucking-tastic! I have enough time for parties and I can get some chores done. I am painting the basement this year. Last year I re-decorated the family room.

Haha. Great summary. That "Ban Bossy" thing was really awful. It was partly started by a national leader of Girl Scouts which frosts my ass (since I am a lifetime Girl Scout... yes... this is a thing and men can be Girl Scouts). My wife was a scout leader for years and they are super inclusive. They just sort of jumped the shark on the "Ban Bossy" thing. It was the ultimate in claiming exaggerated damage caused by micro-aggression. I mean.... the women who were in the video are bossy. WTF!

If I ever have to re-marry, I think I will try to pick up women at Hobby Lobby. I go there for craft stuff for my miniatures hobby. I am the only guy in there and all the ladies check me out. The women there are neat and polite and likely to be sexually repressed. All I would have to say about religion is that I am questioning my faith (or some other such non-truth). They would get all sympathetic and cook me dinner and talk about how god loves them. I would nod and smile and compliment their roasted chicken. Once I found one that can cook and keep a neat house we would get married (to make it legit) and set up our little nest. Very nice. The Daily Mail owned by News Corp. the same people who bring us Fox news so is not really so much British as generic Anglophone right wing. And, really, since PZ has become a shock jock click whore he pretty much operates on the same level as The Daily Mail and Fox news so he's not in a position to point fingers.
