On reflection, ThreeFlangedJavis has got it arse backwards. The greater the amount of time a task takes to complete the less it is likely that the person involved will be acting in hast. It takes a few moments to fire off an angry e-mail. and don't discount Trumps ability to change his narrative. He says pretty wild shit, but once he finds a story that will get him enough votes he will deliver it effectively. He is about the only politician that will be able to change his talking points. People let him do this. No other politician has this kind of flexibility in message.

I don't see how Trump could actually qualify for the moderate vote, changing narratives or not. All he got yet is some percentage of the Republican base in public polls. There's no obligaton, no commitment, and all at a stage of the nominations that would be mindfuckingly boring and pointless if not for the reality tv show antics Trump offers.
Last time it was one clown after the other in the Republican nomination until they settled onto the boring candidate. Maybe this time it's only one clown, but in the end I guess it'll still come to on one of the boring candidates. Can they date the ink and if so with what degree of accuracy? It seems you will get range of dates. The later end of the range for the parchment dating agrees with the traditional accounts quite well. The fact that the range could include an earlier date will likely be ignored by proponents of the traditional view, especially the religious ones. I gotta say though, I fucking love p90s. I had one of those cheap chinese fender ("modern player") jags with p90s. Even though it was cheap, p90s are the bomb. These days I make do with cranking my single coils until they get nice and dirty.

With distortion I prefer a humbucker as it doesn't go as fuzzy as a single coil, you get a lovely hooty clarinetty sound with almost infinite sustain, especially from the neck pickup. But for chords I like the springy sound of a clean, or almost clean, single coil. The nice thing about Gibson-style guitars is the separate volume controls for each pickup - you can crank up the amp, have the neck pickup on full volume for solos, and turn down the bridge pickup til it's nearly clean for rhythm, and switch between them.

I'm talking to a guitar builder about making me a custom guitar, and I want Gibson-style controls, plus a coil tap so I can get a more single-coily sound. I'm thinking of putting in Seymour Duncan P-Rails - very clever pickups combining a hot rail single-coil with a P90 - you can play one or the other, or both as a humbucker. One in the bridge position at least. I think I want undiluted Gibson PAF in the neck.

I hear a lot of good things about P-rails. I had some Duncans in my LTD Viper 1000 (looks like a pimp guitar) and they were good, but the sound always seemed just a bit tinny or metallic. Definitely had more of the upper range, and I'm a mids guy myself. I actually like the fuzz a lot. One of the reasons I love overdriven P90s and even single coils is the muddy, fuzzy sound you can get from them. A song like Eric Clapton's "Cocaine" works well with this sound imo. Since I mostly play rock and early metal music, having that more Rolling Stones sound is better for me than something cleaner and more processed/professional. I run through a vintage Vibrochamp and use pedals for distortion.

From what I've seen, Reverend guitars make brilliant pickups. If I had the option, I would buy some Revtrons and stick those in. But Gibson makes fantastic humbuckers too imo and a coil tap sounds like it'd work great for what you want. Just be aware, as you probably are, that sometimes the coil tap just doesn't compare to the sound quality you'd get from (for example) a vintage Fender single coil. But it's a pretty nitpicky issue for most people.
