I'd noticed that none have come to PZ's defence on the Hitchen's thing. When it was Nugent there were a tonne of posts from these guys. I think he is feeling pretty isolated at the moment

The Benson schism really broke his support from fellow bloggers. PZ made perhaps the least strategic move one could imagine by waiting until it was far too late, then backing the loser and shitting on his blogmates.
