Watching rather than just listening, because the body language caught my interest. Reminded me of guys like Putin, DiCaprio etc. so I had to watch it because it was clear that he was not intimidated.

He worked the room. Calling on individual reporters to ask questions.

He refused to apologise, called the media out, called them liars, copy/pasta lazy, made it clear he thought the hate mob they stirred up to be morons, thanked them for the increased book sales and web traffick and all the appreciative email he was getting from women. At one point he mocked one of the reporters for being a wuss with a "do you even lift bro?' like statement before answering.

Yea team! :-) Didn't listen to all of it - much prefer transcripts as generally too time consuming otherwise - but I noticed at the beginning that JJTalks apparently and sensibly, from recollection, acknowledged the biological binary at least. Part of the motivation for my argument is that people like Zinnia Jones have insisted that transwomen are female - kind of necessary then to draw a line in the sand, and the biological capabilities seems tailor-made for that.

Don't know if you know of or followed my frequently provided links to taxonomy, but I think this description of the science and underlying principles is useful and important:

And it seems that the type of gametes produced rather clearly differentiates between two rather large and important groups within the population of most if not all mammals, and in many other phyla (?) as well. While there are, obviously, many other secondary sexual characteristics, it seems they don't necessarily correlate absolutely with the primary ones. And consequently, trying to put names to all of those other permutations and combinations - e.g., Facebook's 56-different-and-counting genders - seems rather silly at best.

Here is the thing. I have no problem with people having lots of children, so long as they can afford to take care of them properly. I know a very intelligent, talented Unix admin that lived on a farm. He commuted 2 hours back and forth to work (4 hours total). He made a pretty good salary. And I assume the farm was used to help feed his kids. And he had plenty of them. Plus I am sure property values were probably rock bottom.

I believe that ferrets still exude a pretty strong ferret scent even AFTER having that gland (whatever it is) removed; these two ferrets definetly had a distinct ferrety aroma which was unlike any other smell I am familiar with. So don't expect them to smell like cats or dogs even if they've been de-glanded.

They were really neat little guys, very playful and fun to watch, and quite affectionate. They make cute little soft chattering noises. I don't know what you feed them (live mice, maybe?). I believe they fare best when they have another ferret for companionship. Anyway, that's the extent of my ferret knowledge.

Well, a brief tour of Northern Ireland for the full production is imminent. I have been demoted, I'm sorry to say. In the readings I played Vince, the group's manager, and had two songs and a significant subplot. They've drafted in a more experienced actor to play the part (and transposed the songs down a bit because he doesn't have my range ;)) I'm instead playing three supporting villain roles, one of whom is essentially the Devil and is represented by my new avatar, with no solos but parts in a few ensemble songs. The back scent glands are removed but the front ones which is why there can still be a smell. Their food and some stuff you add to their water helps that.

:-) Turning people away from The Dark Side is my sort of my cause célèbre - or tilting at windmills. But I'll concede that you're likely to have a better handle on various political movements in Europe. However, as we've discussed, and as you have more or less asserted which I've agreed with, many Western governments have more than a few things to answer for in ignoring or suppressing the evidence of significant problems caused by unrestricted immigration of Muslims. In which case there seems some justification for listening to those who have been promoting or advancing that position for some time.
