I watched it in two halves - and enjoyed the first more than the second.

The language such as in the training scene above was quite refreshing. In the second half there was a sequence with Hardy Kruger (your actual real life Nazi - well he was at one point anyway) playing a Boer and having a conversation about race with the black political leader - which it was a bit on the nose.

Yes - I did enjoy it overall - but then I'm a sucker for just about any movie with Richard Burton.

I think I was mixing it up with the trailer for WG II in which Carlos the Jackal had to save Professor Henry Higgins from Spandau prison to appear on Parkinson.

Okay, so there is this conference called Lambdaconf, it's a functional programming conference.

Last year they got into trouble inviting Curtis Yarvin ie Mencius Moldbug.

A quadratic would fit better than two flat lines (or the SLR shown), although it would need one more degree of freedom.

Of course, a plot of salary against selectivity (which takes course requirements and difficulty into account) would probably beat any function based on gender or sex percentage, but that would ruin the point.

Anyway. He was pushing back on whether it is the job of Muslim communities to condemn attacks - his point was that doing so makes terrorism a "Muslim crime" and identifies the wider innocent group in a way which is unfair.

My point was that this is specific cultural terrorism that is springing from a subset of the Islamic community (as opposed to say the private school Anglos) and until I can clearly determine who is who in the zoo then the risk is the tarnishing of the whole group. So given they are the cultural new group, given aspects of their culture/beliefs are, let's say, unaligned to western standards and given I have no transparency into their nuances, maybe they could bring themselves to help the rest of us out?

He reckoned it wasn't cultural terrorism so much as universal targeting of everybody who wasn't ISIS/radical aligned. Ie they are not a true muslim. That my framing was implicitly bigoted that ...
