The only way to reduce the number of guns in the US is through the most draconian of gun laws which will never pass (and would be unconstitutional with the current court). Certainly, things like raising age limits or magazine size or semi-auto style guns will only tap at the margins of what gun people choose. It will not reduce gun use or purchases.

While I am sympathetic to the idea that some suicides would be prevented if there were fewer guns, I just can see a way to pass any laws in the US that would be effective. For example, if we restrict the purchase of a semi-auto to anyone over 21, an 18 year old will just buy a cheap Ruger revolver as his first gun. They are cheap, reliable and fun to shoot.... and they are also an excellent choice for suicide.

Small quibble, but you have to be 21 to buy any handgun, including revolvers. The only exception is for black powder pistols, which require more technical expertise than most would-be suicides are willing to acquire.

So the sitcom Roseanne is back. I enjoyed it well enough in the 90's. I think it's one of the only shows that got the lower middle-class right. The new show features a black grandchild(supposed to be interracial but she doesn't look it), and a trans grand child. The show is trying WAY to hard. Oddly; Roseanne(both character and actress)is a Trump supporter.

It was #3. Spleen is fuuuuucked up. BUT specialist today saw him-- a malignant spleen cancer this big probably would haved metastasized by now. She couldn't find any other lesions, including is heart or lungs, where this cancer likes to spread. Outside of the bacterial infection and a massive spleen, he's totally healthy. Which means it could be benign. Which means surgery will solve this problem. Which means Im going to be eating beans and rice for the next few years to pay for this, but I don't care.

Monday night I had no hope. I'd accepted it.

Now I have some hope.

Why is it odd?

I find A easy to understand, ie, they are in the socioeconomic class the DNC ran away from and Hillary pissed all over.
