I don't know if you have ever got those calls from income tax scammers claiming that you owe money? It looks like the fuckers have taken it a step further and are sending fake cops to arrest people and hold them until they fork over money. https://globalnews.ca/news/4289676/cra- ... paign=2014
From the end of the article:
“Taking physical control of someone like this can be considered kidnapping.”
Can be, fucking can be? How is this open for interpretation?

Maybe if you do it to start a conversation it is not considered kidnapping.

 So it's fine to pretend to be cops, handcuff and lock someone in the back of a crappy car, as long it's to start a conversation.

Wait, you are not fooling me, Carrier!
The only other way to start a conversation is to falsely accuse someone of rape.

No you post it to the back channel. Or maybe post a Goldy video. That will get the mods attention.
I don't think we should entirely dismiss the harm that board games can cause. I once went for a piss during a game of Jumanji and a candiru fish swam up my penis.

Hmmm, for some reason I'm not getting notified of new registrations. Can you post the username you chose? I'll activate.

Why settle for mere wire fraud when you can add extortion, kidnapping, and impersonating an officer to the list of charges? Think big.

They're gambling a long time in prison, probably 10 years or more for a shitty $6000. Not too bright.

So did she lie to police or did the police just put that story out there(or is this more gaslighting bear)? BTW if she did lie I still feel sorry for her she was scammed out of 6000 Canadian dollars (which must be at least 20 bucks in real money).
I don't really like stupid people but I really hate people who take advantage of stupid people.

Apparently she was scammed but never met anyone in person.

He may be one of Dennett's believers in belief. That's why I would ask him 'Do you pray?' and after the expected waffle, follow up with "Do you expect your prayers to be heard?'
When I was back there in seminary school, there was person there who put forth the proposition that you can petition the Lord with prayer.
Wasn't that the basis for the catholic church selling 'indulgences' in the middle ages?
If you paid for a prayer session or a mass or two - it would help fast track your relatives soul out of purgatory.

Does anyone else think that Chris Pratt's speech at the MTV awards is just as 'Stunning and Brave' as anything that Bruce/Caitlin Jenner has done?
PZ, in his latest "piece" on Peterson and Lindsay Shepherd. The man never ceases to amaze, and he always delivers:
It’s a stretch to claim it affects her future employment, though, because it was Lindsay Shepherd herself who recorded and released the contents of a private meeting. If these faculty were contacting prospective employers and telling them “don’t hire her, she likes Peterson”, that would be a different thing…did they do that? No? Then what’s made her unemployable is her release of the recording.
Instead, Machado has dug in her heels (albeit conceding that she is “not a victim of Junot Díaz” but merely “a female writer who had a weird interaction with him”). In a new tweetstorm on June 6, she complained about being “gaslit” by people who said the audio did not verify her account, and suggested that those who think so “aren’t the best at reading subtext.” She insisted that “the audio doesn’t reflect body language or atmosphere” or capture the tension in the room, evidenced by “the occasional nervous laughter that pops up from the audience.” There is in fact laughter from the audience at a couple of points, but “nervous”? If anyone here is “gaslighting,” it’s Machado herself (“who are you going to believe, me or that lying audio?”). Imagine the derisive reaction if, say, Sarah Huckabee Sanders had tried “it’s the body language” spin to explain away an audio that blatantly contradicted her claim of abusive behavior by a journalist.
...
3. Apparently, the new post-#MeToo rules when women accuse men of sexist misconduct are:
If it’s he said/she said, believe the woman.
If there is actual evidence refuting the woman’s account, treat it as “he said/she said” or as “her truth.” (Or maybe put your hands over your ears and chant very loudly: believe the women believe the women believe the women.)
And if the man is investigated and cleared, always treat him as an abuser who got a break.
I have a hard time feeling sorry for Diaz. He's a super woke writer who's always talking about his oppression, despite having wealth and prestige. He also writes like a 15 year-old cholo despite being a forty-something man.

My son sprained his ankle last week and we had to go to the emergency room for x-rays(the doctor's office machine was down).
He got them done and we were waiting to see the outcome and they had us in this little waiting room. This woman got on the phone and started offering advice including no to tell people what the person was doing because people "can pray against you". I had never heard of this concept inside of Christianity and thought just how awful.
There are people who believe in God and he will directly be swayed to either help or harm based off pray.

Some evidence that the straits that the UK is in - Tommy Robinson, Brexit, & the Muslim issue for examples ;-) - aren't quite as "dire" as many would apparently argue:
AUSTRALIA’S population is growing faster than ever before and is now set to hit a milestone it wasn’t expected to reach until 2051.
The latest data from 2017 found natural increase made up just 38 per cent of the growth, while migration was responsible for 62 per cent of the increase.
“So back then, net migration was contributing less than half of the growth, now it’s almost two-thirds.”
This is in line with the most recent Census results that showed Australia was more multicultural than ever, with 26 per cent born overseas, compared to 1966 when only 18 per cent of the population had been born overseas.
It seems city planning and general infrastructure provision was based on population growth that was a lot less than we are actually experiencing,” Mr McCrindle said.
Simple question. WHY?. Why the fuck are we doing this?
Stuffing Sydney and Melbourne full of migrants, such that infrastructure breaks down, seems like an action that should be supported by a plan with goals and success indicators. Guess I’m old fashioned that way.
....
I note Kirb never bothered to define his use of “ethnostate”. Be it Hungary 2018, Switzerland 2018, Australian 1977, Spencerian USA 2030, current day Korea-Japan or Nazi German 1936. Guess we will never know.

It's up to those advocating ethnostates as a panacea to define that first.
''You can't criticise me as I won't say what I mean'' isn't a trump card.
I'm going out on a limb and suggesting an ethnostate is a state and that it's culture is defined by ethnicity but no doubt the SJW Right will play their bait and switch games on both 'state' and 'ethnicity' so that ethnostate will mean whatever they need it to mean in a particular utterance and then something else in the next.

Ullman's series hasn't been great, but it does keep on angering the Cult of Corbyn. In fact, a load of far left morontards in the UK started a conspiracy theory that a Jew, David Baddiel, was responsible for writing a sketch that poked fun of Corbyn and Labour's antisemitism problem. Cue the abuse.
Even this piece of gentle mockery got the Corbynites angry...

That was some funny shite. Some of them even went so far as to claim than Ullman was a Jew as well. Sorry fuckers just cannot help themselves.
But nah, Corbyn's Labour doesn't have a problem with antisemitism. It's all a smear cooked up by those shadowy internationalists who support Israel. Move along, nothing to see here.

He almost never answers straightforward questions. He never answered mine, even when I reminded him a couple of times. The trademark OKWOT is his standard response.
I nearly posted that. Notice Peterson giving forthright answer, then backing off when made to think it through.
You could say he's commendable for being willing to admit he's wrong, or hasn't thought answer through but in most cases
his intellectual shooting from the hip doesn't get challenged enough.
