Also,
+ don’t drink calories. Coffee with almond milk and water with/without squeezed lemon juice is just fine.
+ that said, avoid alcohol: beer is liquid bread and alcohol is a gateway to additional carbs. If necessary have 1x dry white wine
This guy is a fuckwit. But his book was good for layman, Aussie orientated, motivation:
This book gets you angry at the food industry:
This chick is living the carnivore diet. Bit extreme, but elements are sound.

Personally I’m focused on:
Berries
Greek yoghurt
Eggs in all configuration
Lots of meat (beef, pork, chicken, lamb)
Salmon
Cheese
Butter
Nuts
Coffee and unsweetened almond milk
Lettuce.
So I may not eat till 2:30pm. Then have (say) a three egg omelette with bacon and halloumi cheese. For dinner (7:30pm) I might have a steak or roast with small salad or poached eggs and a dollop of Greek yogurt followed by an almond-milk berry smoothie.
That would be around 6,700 - 7000 KJ depending on portion size. Which is energy deficit relative to an 8000+ figure for stable weight. But represents a lot of food .... Nb- no snacks required and no casual liquid energy. The almond milk has very low carbs.
I don’t freak out if circumstances demand rare exceptions. Here I’ll give myself permission based on ‘need not want’ and then jump back onto the bike. Ie I won’t be that dick at Xmas disavowing pudding at the table. I just won’t over indulge.
It all seems to be working since last April.
