Yes, but the males start it out by grouping in an area upstream of the current. They release a sperm/milt so male ejaculate and enough to color large zones a beautiful turquoise. The females swim into the milt cloud and (hopefully) attach their eggs to rocks or seaweed and the currents guide do the deed.

Yeah, parts of it are amazing and it is tempting to go back. Car-eating parrots (kea) don't live too far from Hokitika; you can drive up to Otira or Arthurs Pass in an hour or so from Hokitika and see them in cheeky full destruct mode. They are thieves too.

I had noticed a dramatic slowness in name resolution over the past few days. That is less so now, but the DNS block has been expanded. It appears Telstra has moved from DNS based blocking to some fuckedup uber proxy.
This doesn’t look like a short term approach - to be lifted immediately after the Christchurch ruckus dies down.
I haven’t used a commercial VPN since the days of trolling PZ. Nice that there is now no end-user difference between FtB and our largest ISP.

It's still up on youtube here. Unfortunately I am still banned from commenting on her youtube channel and a reading of the other comments shows she doesn't allow anything but fawning agreement.I think people need to know how much she silences other people's free speech.

A couple days ago-- they posted an episode about the Smollett case. In the episode, Geragos says a lot of dubious shit about the case.
But his spin occasionally intersects with plausible-sounding principles, which might actually pass-muster in front of a jury or judge.
For example, Geragos highlights the fact that Jussie's manager called the cops ,& that Jussie is on-record that he didn't want the police involved.
Geragos peddles the notion-- that this undermines the 'filing a false police report' claim. Sounds like bullshit to me... because Jussie had to sign the
statement he made to police/ in order to file a police report, right? But it's pretty-interesting to hear Geragos gin-up reasonable doubt about the case:

Fire season begins tomorrow at this rate.
The forecast has significant rain and a return to normal temps 13C in a few days which will hopefully temper the unusually dry weather we have had in the past 2 months.
The last 2 years we have had air quality issues from fires that aren't even nearby. Large local fires would be unpleasant.

As for her being exonerated from being dishonest because she quotes statistics.I'm going to go full Steersman here a quote a folksy old axiom here:
"Figures never lie, but liars sure can figure". Grifters like Goldy know how to package a lie to get the rubes to believe it. They dress up their lies with some facts and when get called on their lies they point to some facts in the body of the speech or writing and claim that because some of it is true all of it must be.
It would be an interesting experiment for you or anyone else here to try and comment on her youtube channel. Try posting a respectful comment that disagrees with something she has said, or points out a mistake she may have made. I doubt it stays up for long and a good bet the poster gets banned.
