Among my favorite guitar performances is this cover of Heartbeats by José González. Yeah, I know, it's part of an ebul corporate ad for a Sony Bravia television, but I love the visuals nevertheless:

It is San Francisco, after all.

One English artist I have been following for the last year is Marina and the Diamonds... a bit too "pop" for my usual tastes but she reminds me of Kate Bush crossed with The Slits. It'll be interesting to see which way she goes.....

Speaking of music, I've been listening to some Faith No More and Aphex Twin lately. Aphex Twin's weird music has always interested me.

I also listen to a fair bit of Sunn O))) and Khanate, which is very weird but still interesting.

Khanate - Too Close Enough To Touch

http://youtu.be/3qNwJkZuhFU

This is one of the first songs I heard from this band but it isn't their strangest one. Their strangest song would have to be 'Fields' because the singer actually sounds like he wants to kill someone.

I've been listening to this all day. It's a song from an Australian death metal band called Abramelin.

The song is called 'Human Abbatoir' and it's from their 'Transgression From Acheron' album.

Here's a video for a song from another odd, but good, ambient project that I've been listening to for awhile now. The album is called "Electrified Space Bacterium" and the song is called 'Waltzentoyzen'. It has been used as the background music for a pretty cool time-lapse video.

Rule No1 of Rock.... make it look harder than it really is. The guy playing the strap-on keyboards did exactly that. Too synthpop for me and the lead singer was doing this:

This song is by one of my favourite bands. It is a shame that they split up.

Apati - Eufori

Here are the lyrics, in English.

Eufori
Euphoria
(Written by C9H13N)

The soberness eats away my reason
When I in my loneliness look back at my life
Everything that has been
Everything that has got fucked up
Has it formed me into this lifeless swine?
Never do I find a reason to think about it

Addicted to the escape of reality
To get away from everything
Pills or powder, butane gas or injections
Everything that will make me forget will do
It's with joy I'm making my short life even shorter
