Speaking of exercise, does anyone else go snowshoeing? I am privileged enough to own a pair of second hand snow shoes that I got from Play It Again Sports and I went for a saunter around the local reservoir tonight. Fucking awesome exercise, low impact, great views over the city and I really worked my butt cheeks. Highly recommend it if there is snow where you live.

As someone who had to will his way back into his routine after the incident with what I will now refer to as "The Dillahunty Driver", bikes 50 miles a week minimum, summer, winter rain and snow, in accordance with Rule # 17 "If you bike in bad weather you are a badass, period", which is a subset of Rule # 9 "Toughen the fuck up". lifts weights 3 days a week MWF and does cardio rowing TTH and, just today, biked 10 miles, did an hour on the rowing machine and put in a full day where I just woke up from a dead sleep after eating a Lean Cuisine for dinner, I must say:

I watched something incredible today (and this has fuck all to do with FfTB or A+, btw) - one woman by the name of Hannah Hart who has "My Drunk Kitchen" on Youtube (vids I love) raised nearly $80K in less than 10 hours for a tour she is planning in April. Pretty amazing. And part of my "1 frivolity a day" to keep myself sane until the end of the month.

Yeah, at least in freezing cold weather -- for which I just got my new Under Armor Cold Gear balaclava -- you can adopt the general rule "If you are not cold when you first get outside, you'll be hot riding". In a hot, humid, just nasty DC swamp summer where dumping ice water over your head does little but waste water, you're basically fucked.
