The glimpses Peez has given us into his childhood show a resentful misfit with an inflated sense of ego and need to prove his superiority from the start.Hunt wrote: ↑Wed May 16, 2018 5:37 amI'm sure you're right. It's just that 2007 PZ makes the present version look well balanced. He was pretty much off the rails by 2011. Remember the guy who wanted to spare the world by deep sixing him in grad school. People like PZ were born, not made.ThreeFlangedJavis wrote: ↑He seemed reasoned if you took his "take downs" at face value. This is from 2011 but I would be very surprised if this level of dishonesty was new to him: http://saltydroid.info/pz-myers-gasbag-bigotry/ . If you've watched the latest back and forth between Noel Plum and Myers you will recall PZ ending one of his vids with, to paraphrase, "Maybe he'd accept it if it was from a misogynist". Completely out of the blue and absolutely unwarranted by anything Plum said. Do any ex-Pharyngula readers, looking back, think that he wasn't always delivering exactly the same kinds of unwarranted smears in his blog posts knowing that the whored would turn their snark on anyone breaking ranks.
And remember, he became popular among atheists for driving a nail through an eucharist -- a petty, mean-spirited, and needlessly offensive stunt. His science was only marginally better a decade ago; his ScienceBlogs posts already contained traces of anti-darwinianism, and wasn't it by 2007 that he'd begun work on his crackpot Natural Revolution?
PZ was always nasty, envious, unbalanced, and demented -- he just let his mask slip when he didn't receive the same fame as others, bit every hand that'd fed him, then completely lost it when the Atheism Plus coup failed. He directed his bile at the 'Pit, until he saw Slymepitters everywhere.
