Here's something to put in the 'weird but true' box: Over (a very long) time I've grown some affection for the Kiwi accent, and Kiwi's generally.

The Kiwis I come into contact with generally have a solid work ethic, finely tuned bullshit meters, and an irreverent sense of humour, three characteristics I value highly in our phylum.

Couch's Rule: Aussies hang a lot of shit on Kiwis, but over time come to privately adore them; and one suspect the reverse is true for you lot of derro sheep-shaggers.

Now back to being a cunt. Cunts.

Remember that Periodic table - seemed, from recollection (lo, these many years ago), to have been like an electronic console with lights and labels for the different insults laid out in the form of that chemistry table. Thought it was kind of cool, and it was, I think, part of the reason why I decided to check out the place - have periodically looked for it but with no luck.

So, is this thing going to happen or not? I don't care about participating, as I would not really bring anything of interest to the table, but I'd like to know if I have to book part of my evening to listen to the discussion.

On a side note: maybe, if this thing happens, it would be cool to have a live chat created somewhere so that everybody can jump in with some live contributions. Actually, I've wanted to have a Pit live chat for a while, maybe with a dump of the discussion somewhere here when sessions are done, to keep in the spirit of the forum.

I don't have the technical knowledge to create such chat, but maybe somebody else does?

Fuck it. I'm crashing soon, run into the ground by my daughers party of thirteen 15 year old girls - and without plans in place for a 7.00am Sunday exit from the house. This sux - the bugger surely has a quick start sheet for this purpose.

Hello folks, yes 9pm GMT is still the goal. My mum had come to visit and so I was taking this opportunity to palm my 11-month-old son on to her to take a mid-afternoon nap.

Whoever has organised the delegation PM me and I'll send you the hangout link around 8:45.

Looking forward to speaking to you!

Two of the 'Pitters who were going to participate aren't able to do so given that confirmation is so close to the initially sorta-planned time.

Could we* reschedule, perhaps to same time next weekend, to give them time to make arrangements?

From higher up in this thread:
Lsuoma wrote:Did a quick draw this morning, and assuming Sargers will allow five we have:

1. Me
2. Rayshul
3. Brive1987
4. ERV, if willing - Abbie, please confirm.
5. Kirbmarc

If Abbie doesn't want to do it, I suggest just the four of us, since Sargon mentioned 2-3 initially.

Thanks to all people interested. If this works out, maybe we could get a slot with Noel Plum, Tf00t, Sargon (again), or maybe a hangout?

Anyway, let's get Saturday behind us first, then survey the landscape wreckage.
So with rayshul & Brive not available, and ERV's plans not known, that would leave Lsuoma & Kirbmarc.

We have problems with Comcast in Redmond right now, which is why I've not been on before. It keeps on going up and down like Jane Harrington's knickers, so I'm not confident at present that I'll be able to make it. Rescheduling to next week is looking extremely smart right now. Can we confirm same time/same place at least a few days in advance?

  • Livestream with Sargon IS scheduled for 9pm GMT one week from today

ERV - Sorry you were out of the loop. We here at the slymepit had decided you would be a good candidate. Sargoon had nothing to do with this. We had to team ready to go, with or without you. We know you are busy and might be difficult to reach in a timely manner.
