Most response videos are less selective about what they quote than Peez. Irritating as it can be to watch a talking head interrupt every other word, they're at least presenting the full content of what they're replying to, such that you could chop out the responses and be left with the original video.

Thus even if the respondent mischaracterizes the argument, as some do, viewers can still hear the words for themselves and pick up on it.

Peez and his ilk don't like it for several reasons. They don't like feeling obligated to quote others in full so they have cover to misrepresent without their followers finding out, and they don't like being quoted and having their own words held against them because it's "abusive."

Not sure that I agree entirely with Nichols' argument there as, for one thing, it seems a little incoherent: if Obama "stayed out" then what the fuck are the CIA and the Pentagon doing supporting groups that are apparently fighting each other? At one time the buck for such incoherence and hypocrisy would have stopped on his desk - can't reasonably argue that he stayed out: either he was incompetent (surprise, surprise) or criminally negligent. Yea. As Nichols suggested, one large clusterfuck. And as a result half-a-million people are dead, and the fabric of European society is in tatters due, in large part, to Syrian refugees. What a legacy. Although maybe the latter at least serves to emphasize the fact that Islam is "flatly incompatible with democracy & human rights".

But as several people here have argued or suggested, Assad may well be the lesser of a rather large number of very much worse evils. Trump apparently continuing on in the same direction as his predecessor doesn't bode well, although one might suggest he is to be commended for at least trying to create some sort of rapproachement with Russia which may be the only viable solution.

I had to look up if it still exist, i have not been there in a long time. I don't know if its as great as it was when i used to visit but they had some really epic threads (to used a term still annoyingly popular back then).

One of the most memorable thread was about a video of a crazy man clearly talking out of his ass about his martial art skills to a couple guy in a dojo. The guy got his ass kicked real bad. Like way too hard. The dojo guys were clearly dicks and the crazy guy showed sign of being genuinely mentally ill. For many on the forum it looked more like assault on a mentally ill guy then a shit talker having his comeuppance. It didn't take long before they find out the crazy guy was indeed crazy and homeless and the dojo guy knew who he was; not just a unknown schmuck showing up for some shit talk. Anyway, at this point everyone wanted to find who those guys were and ... well that is just the start, the rest was pages and pages of fun ... at least to my memory.

One of the most memorable thread was about a video of a crazy man clearly talking out of his ass about his martial art skills to a couple guy in a dojo. The guy got his ass kicked real bad. Like way too hard. The dojo guys were clearly dicks and the crazy guy showed sign of being genuinely mentally ill. For many on the forum it looked more like assault on a mentally ill guy then a shit talker having his comeuppance. It didn't take long before they find out the crazy guy was indeed crazy and homeless and the dojo guy knew who he was; not just a unknown schmuck showing up for some shit talk. Anyway, at this point everyone wanted to find who those guys were and ... well that is just the start, the rest was pages and pages of fun ... at least to my memory.

Sparring montage are tricky because you really never know what they are practicing and the ring is smaller. But id still say that he does look really bad nonetheless. Like you said, no speed. No defence. Way too often off guard. There is nothing impressive about his skills at all.

And he's not fighting anyone, i mean Floyd is the best boxer of the last decade. Floyd today is still as talented as the best boxer we have right now pounds for pounds as far as we know. If Floyd was not retired, i would instantly rank him in the current top 3 pounds for pounds. His legacy is too much to ignore even for guys like me who don't like him much.

I watched the all female helmed horror anthology movie XX because I'm a fan of the genre and it had a 72% rating on Rottentomatoes. It's terrible. Don't bother with it. Four stories with little suspense and zero pay off, bound together by these faux stop motion animation sequences that are some teenage girl who just saw a Tool video's idea of "creepy." These stories would be lesser Twilight Zone or Tales from the Crypt episodes. It wasn't feminist propaganda it was just dull. Despite last year's Ghostbusters debacle, I still believed that film criticism was not corrupted by PC or fear of the PC mob, but I might have been wrong.
